Missing HVAC Register

This is a thermal image of a bedroom ceiling near the fan.  There is no register in the ceiling, and it is blowing inside the attic onto the backside of the drywall.  You can see how warm the drywall is, as demonstrated by the orange/yellow color and the thermal indicator on the side!  This same location behind the drywall would look cool (or more purplish) in the summer when the air conditioning is running.  It is a wonder that the homeowners did not recognize that this bedroom was warmer or cooler than usual, depending on the season!  You have to think that the bats and squirrels in the attic really like that warmth and cool when they need it!
