Icynene Insulation

This is Icynene foam insulation.  Said to be healthier, more insulating and providing more sound protection, it is slowly taking on in Virginia.  This home, in Vienna, Virginia, elected to spray it in the roof and attic areas.  It must be done by certified professionals.  Any mistakes, or improperly installed, and there can be big problems.  Down the road, these buried ducts may be a problem.  As might be any of the buried canister lights, seen throughout the house.  The jury is out as to icynene's long-term viability, but time will tell.
